5
Rose Byrne - Valentino
our very own Rosie, well not really her name is Rose but she’s aussie thats why she’s OUR Rosie.. The ‘Damages’ star looked every bit grecian goddess in this sleek white Valentino gown, not a big fan of the hair but she somehow pulls it off…
4
Jane Krakowski - Escada
The ‘30 rock’ actress was glowing in this very ‘on trend’ navy blue, one shouldered, structured Escada gown.. her hair lightly pulled back and natural makeup compliments her look well..
3
Anna Paquin - Alexander McQueen
Our favourite vampire.. i mean newlywed Anna Paquin from ‘True Blood’ looked stunning in this daring black and gold Alexander McQueen gown. The gold embellishment is stunning against the silky black underlay, a fitting tribute to the late designer we think, love the pumps as well.
2
Kim Kardashian - Marchesa
Kim never puts a foot wrong on the red carpet and its great to see she’s ventured out of her comfort zone and we’re seeing something other than her trademark one shoulder black dress, kudos to Kim for embracing her curves! The ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star is wearing a beautiful grecian inspired white Marchesa gown with a gorgeous gold embellished neckline… its all about the neckline! and her LA tanned skin does it wonders!
drumroll please…

Twilight Totes
June 28th, 2010
EDWARD VS. JACOB
Twilight Totes by Lola&Bailey
DING! DING! DING!
In the blue corner stands Edward Cullen introverted, mysterious and protective vampire and in the red corner stands Jacob Black extroverted, good natured and determined warewolf! Who will triumph in the end and win Bella’s heart?
In the wake of Twilight mania LOLA&BAILEY have released a new pair of statement totes inspired by two prominent characters in the Twilight Phenomenon.
Twilight is a series of four vampire-based romance novels that have recently been made into films; both the novels and the films have gained immense popularity and commercial success around the world, most popular among young adults or ‘tweens’. The story revolves around a mortal, Bella who moves to a new town and falls in love with a 100-year-old vampire.
An ongoing debate between twilight ‘tween’ fans is whom they prefer; vampires like Edward Cullen or werewolves like Jacob Black
LOLA&BAILEY have created two totes one for team Edward with vampire fangs and one for team Jacob with a wolf.
SP Cufflinks
June 28th, 2010
After working across a multitude of mediums celebrated design label LOLA&BAILEY have embarked on a new project, in which they have evolved their ever-popular shadow puppets pendants range to create an exclusive range of cufflinks especially for men.
The quirky but subtle range is inspired by the hit TV series ‘Mad Men’ set in a 1960’s New York ad agency; although the TV series explores the themes of smoking, drinking, sexism and racism, LOLA&BAILEY wanted to create something that would celebrate the lighter side of the 60’s
The cufflinks made from enamel with twist hardware on the back are available in six different animal shadow puppet designs including Wolf, Goose, Bear, Hare, Butterfly, Giraffe and Dog.
Replacing lacklustre buttons on a crisp shirt with LOLA&BAILEY’s cufflinks will add a little extra flare that will make any man stand out in the crowd.
The Shadow Puppets cufflinks can be bought online through LOLA&BAILEY’s interactive online store www.lolaandbailey.com RRP $55.00/pair.

Studio 2017
Annual Winter Brooch Show
May 4th - June 6th
For the third year running, Studio 20/17 will once again buck the notion that brooches are only for ‘old ladies’ and celebrate the brooch’s universal appeal.
“The wearing of jewellery has very ancient roots going back 75,000 years. Traditionally worn for ornament or utility, to convey messages of rank or wealth, or to follow superstitious custom or fashion, the brooch is making a contemporary comeback. It can be perhaps one of the most expressive forms of body adornment. From subtle and discreet tiny pins perched cheekily on the tip of a collar, to loud, bold, massive brooches, allowing full creative expression of both the wearer and maker, the contemporary brooch goes beyond the decorative and functional to convey a dialogue between the wearer and viewer”. Says Bridget Kennedy, co-owner of Studio 20/17.
Participating Artists Include:
Felicity Peters, Melinda Young, Anna Davern, Daehoon Kang, Joung-mee Do, Zoe Brand, Emma Fielden, Karen Thompson, Christian Hall, Lina Peterson, Natalia Milosz-Piekarska, Sean O’Connell, Karin Findeis, Karin Jaccobson, Emma Jane Donald, Vernon Bowden, Mark Vaarwerk, Carlier Makigawa, Michelle Miller, Margaret West, Zoe Jay Veness.

The Finders Keepers Make The Sydney Magazine’s Top 100 Most Influential People in Sydney.
The Finders Keepers made its succesful debut in Sydney as ‘The Hope Street Markets’ in May 2007 where they showcased just 20 hand chosen designers in an intimate indoor space in Surry Hills. It was the first of what would later become a spate of ‘designer markets’ that would regularly flood our event calenders, but none able to capture the truly unique, independent and collaborative Market experience that The Finders Keepers is able to create.

The Sydney Magazines Top 100
It has since found itself a fitting new home at the Carriageworks in Eveleigh and showcases in excess of 80 of Australia’s most talented emerging artists, designers and musicians. Following their continued success in Sydney, In September 2009 they debuted in Brisbane to a full house and hope to take the concept nationwide in 2010.

Extract from The Sydney Magazine's Top 100
As designers and Artists themselves, Sarah & Brooke conceived this idea from their own frustration at not having a relevant platform from which to reach their audience so decided to create their own market event that would bridge the gap between exhibitions and markets for other emerging artists.

“From the very begining we recognised something special with this concept and we really believed in their vision. Working with Sarah & Brooke to help bring that vision into the spotlight has been an incredibly rewarding experience.” - Publissimo

The treatments hit stores in December this year, just in time for Christmas and of course, beach and sun ravaged summer hair. The Essential Treatments family consists of:
Protein Complex: A strengthening treatment spray wit Quinoa Protein and Organic Rosehip which can be used on hair before colouring to minimise damage, or in the shower between and shampoo and condition to fortify and seal the hair.

But the real stand-out, or ‘hero’ of the Essential Treatments range is Absorb. A weightless, powder dry shampoo spray with Organic Rosehip and rice extracts to absorb oils from the hair and scalp, and provide volume and texture to help refresh oily, lank hair.

Discover Australia’s Best Designers In One Space at the
‘pyd design markets’

Sydney’s leading design resource, pyd, is hosting its annual design markets on October 24th and 25th 2009 at their waterloo precinct. The pyd design markets plays host to Australia’s most talented object designers under one roof and offers consumers a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in, and engage with contemporary design and discover a treasure.
Unlike other Sydney designer markets, this event is not about fashion. The pyd design market is Sydney’s first market dedicated to showcasing 80 designers of high-end, handmade furniture, lighting, textiles, ceramics, glass & jewellery.

The participating designers will be hand chosen by an influential expert panel including Geoff Clark Owner of pyd, who believes this new event will offer Australian object designers a powerful new platform to reach consumers.
“From its inception, pyd building positioned itself to be the centre of design in Sydney. An essential part of this is to reward, encourage and support fresh contemporary designers in Australia and lead these designers to become commercially viable for their designs. Australia has become increasingly powerful within the world design community and we endeavour to give Australian designers a footprint within that worldwide design community.
Through the markets we expect to give these designers an audience of over 15,000 people on one day”. Geoff Clark, Owner of pyd.
