Do your skin (and your planet) some good by supporting emerginC

Local Australian skincare range emerginC are getting down and dirty – but it’s all in the name of environmental awareness! Reducing their carbon footprint one moisturiser at a time, the cosmeceutical line has adopted a “buy one, plant one” approach to business. Partnering with Plant-It-2020, emerginC (with shovels in hand and soil at the ready) now plant one tree for every retail product sold, with CEO Ian Lirenman offering a refreshing admission: “We don’t want to be a company that is only taking.”

The skincare company, which also indulges further into their mother nature role by using biodegradable paper bags and running their office on 100% wind power, offers products ranging from cleansers and primers to at-home facial peels. All the products include naturally sourced ingredients that aim to provide great results without the presence of toxic chemicals.

emerginC  products are sold at spas and salons nationwide. For stockists, contact Inskin Cosmedics on (02) 9712 8188 or visit

In a bid to get to know our clients a little better we present to you our newest segment:

A cosy chat…

with Eleanor Ford

Eleanor Ford is a dynamic jewellery designer who has us all smitten with her newest Dahlia collection released as part of her Sollis Jewellery brand. But what about the personality behind the creative genius?

Name: Eleanor Ford
Position: Director/Designer
Company: Sollis jewellery
Describe your label in 20 words or less: Handmade designer costume jewellery

1. When you’re looking to be inspired, where do you go?
I love to travel but when that’s not possible I usually look at books about interior design and craft from around the world.
2. What is your greatest guilty pleasure? Cheese, salami and wine. Opps that’s 3 guilty pleasures!
3. You’re now an influential jewellery designer, was that what you always wanted to be when you were growing up?
I guess so, I just never knew it. As a child I was always making things like friendship bracelets and selling them to my friends at school.
4. What has been your must-have this season? A vintage 50’s dress I picked up, always a winner.
5. What fashion style do you really want to come back? Ummm, I’m not sure. Nothing from the 90’s thats for sure. I’m still scared from the first time round!
6. Who is the most influential person in your life? I’m guessing my husband, but don’t tell him that!
7. Your ideal getaway destination is: Marrakech, Paris, Aspen or Bali? Marrakech is pretty high on the list as I haven’t been there yet, pretty much I want to go everywhere!
8. If you could be an animal, what would you be? A cat curled up snoozing in the sunshine
9. If you could have a super power, what would it be? Being able to fly would be pretty awesome.
10. What’s the best advice you’ve ever received? Probably not to take yourself too seriously.

My friends call me … Elle
My bad habit is … Eating too much Cheese and Salami
Something you don’t know about me is … I would love to be able to play the banjo.
I don’t leave the house without … My clothes on, usually 😉
I am currently reading … Cloudstreet by Tim Winton
I am currently wearing … a Kaftan
I am currently listening to … the best of Queen would you believe!
My last supper would be … probably more Cheese and salami

The Dahlia Collection uses the popular craft technique of macramé, to intricately bead with dyed stones and metal beads and is inspired by the distinctive vibrancy of India.
